Barbara R. Salvione, 76, died on July 24, 2018.
Born in Grasmere, Staten Island, Barbara lived in Huguenot for 50-plus years.
She went to St. Joseph Hill Academy, then attended Hunter College and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Richmond college. She earned her doctorate in education from St. John's University.
Barbara enjoyed traveling with her dear friend, Paula Milazzo. She enjoyed time with her family and cooking for her family, reading and crocheting.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin, and her sister, Jane Steinbraker. She is survived by her children, Brian (Stacy) and Barbara Larson (Richard); her sisters, Ellen Barron, Joanne Nichols, Elizabeth Thorsen, and her grandsons.
Funeral is from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial is at Holy Child R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
