Barbara Ann Botta (Orosz) passed away on April 28, 2022, peacefully at home, in the loving care of her husband, Robert Botta. She was born to George and Elizabeth Orosz, in Staten Island, New York. She was the second born of eight children. She was predeceased by her parents, her older sister Linda Cipoletti, and her brothers George and Ben Orosz.
Barbara is survived by her four children, John Finn, Melissa Finn, Daniel Finn and Theresa Taubman. She also had three step children Roseanne Burger, Dominic Botta and Chrissy Crosson. She had eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is survived by her two brothers John and Joseph Orosz, and also her sisters Elizabeth Castro and Catherine DeGaetano. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Barbara attended St. Joseph by the Sea High School. She later attended Staten Island Community College to become a medical assistant. She then worked as a medical assistant for many years at the HIP center on Staten Island. She also worked at her father's Richmond Burglar Alarm Company throughout the years. Barbara was very active at St. Christopher's School, while her children were in attendance. She also worked bingo and volunteered for multiple activities at the school during this time.
Shortly after retiring, she and her husband, Robert, relocated to Manahawkin, NJ, where she enjoyed crabbing and riding her cruiser bike around. They later moved to Manalapan, NJ. Barbara was such a sweet, loving, kind person who would always try to help others. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She loved playing cards (May I) and many other games with her family and friends. She enjoyed drinking Diet Pepsi and eating Tootsie Pops. She also loved to have yard sales with her sisters, where they had so much fun. Barbara also loved growing vegetable gardens. Tomato sandwiches were her specialty.
Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
