Arthur Edwards, 66, of Huguenot, a retired sales manager, died Tuesday in Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton.
Born in Brooklyn, he graduated from James Madison High School there and moved to Huguenot in 1977.
He worked as the sales manager at Hunt's Point Terminal Market in the Bronx for 25 years, where he was known by his co-workers as The King. He retired in 1999.
He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, gardening, fixing things and family gatherings. Mr. Edwards kept albums of his grandchildren's accomplishments, and he was also a New York Mets and Rangers fan.
He was a member of St. Joseph and St. Thomas Parish in Pleasant Plains, where he enjoyed attending daily mass.
A strong man who devoted his life to his wife, daughters and grandchildren, and who will be missed by all, said his daughter Lisa.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Mary Ann Beltrani; two daughters, Lisa Kindya and Karyn Sciarrino; a sister, Irene Fuscaldo, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Pleasant Plains. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
