Antoinette Moretti, 91, of Huguenot, a homemaker who will be remembered as a wonderful baker and cook, died Monday at home.
Born and raised Antoinette Scida in Brooklyn, she moved to Huguenot in 1999.
Mrs. Moretti had many talents and skills. She was a master baker, and her family loved her wonderful desserts, including cannolis, cream puffs and whipped cream cakes for special occasions. French and Italian cookies were among her specialties, and all were made from scratch.
She also turned out handmade ravioli by the dozen, family said, and was similarly skilled at dressmaking, hanging wallpaper and painting.
She was a loving aunt and was close to her first cousins in New England, whom she enjoyed visiting.
A devout Christian, Mrs. Moretti was a member of Church at the Gateway in Richmond Valley.
Her husband of 60 years, John, died in 2006. She also was preceded in death by her son, Paul, in 1990, and her daughter, Louise, in 1964.
Surviving are her sons, Dominick Joseph, Eugene, John and Peter; her brother, Pasquale Scida; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Oakwood.
