In Loving Memory of Anthony R Fauci

February 12, 1937 - June 15, 2023

Anthony R. Fauci (Tony), a devoted husband to his late wife Josephine for 53 wonderful years, a loving father, doting grandfather, and cherished great-grandfather, has left an indelible mark on our hearts. He was born on February 12, 1937 in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn. He led a remarkable life, touching the hearts of many. His journey was one of service, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering love for his family.

Tony proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, embodying dedication and honor. After his military service, he returned to Coney Island where he opened and operated the neighborhood Candy Store for many years. He eventually ventured into the dairy industry, becoming a driving force behind Polly-O dairies in Brooklyn, New York. Later, alongside his devoted sons, Anthony and Joseph, he co-founded La Fontana restaurant on Staten Island. Eventually Daughter Lori Ann would also join the Family Business. The dedicated clientele of La Fontana Restaurant has been responsible for the establishment recently celebrating its 40th anniversary, a testament to the Fauci Family's passion, hard work, and culinary vision.

While his professional accomplishments were commendable, Tony's greatest joy came from his family. For the 53 beautiful years that he shared a deep and loving bond with his late wife Josephine they built a foundation of love, resilience, and unwavering support for their family that will forever endure.

Tony's legacy lives on through his three children and his Daughter-In-Laws, and Son-In-Law, Anthony married to Mary Ann, Joseph married to Marilyn, and Lori Ann married to Todd, were the pride of his life. He embraced the joys and challenges of fatherhood, instilling in his children values of integrity, compassion, and resilience. His guidance and unwavering presence shaped their lives and will continue to guide them in his absence.

As a grandfather, Tony reveled in the joy of eight grandchildren and their Spouses: Alexis, married to Greg; Anthony, married to Danielle; Andrew; Briana, married to Sal; Thomas, Faith, Christopher and Payton. He delighted in their accomplishments, shared in their laughter, and created lifelong memories. He was their pillar of love, guidance, and unwavering support. Whether it was sharing stories, attending family gatherings, or offering words of wisdom, he created a lifetime of beautiful memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.

Tony was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Maria, Anthony, Salvatore, and Josephine who brought him immeasurable happiness and filled his days with joy.

Tony Fauci will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his entrepreneurial spirit, and his kind-hearted nature. He leaves behind a legacy of love and the immeasurable impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. His warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering presence will be greatly missed.

As we mourn the loss of Tony, let us also celebrate his remarkable life of 86 years. May his memory inspire us to cherish our loved ones, pursue our passions, and create lasting bonds. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his family find solace in the precious memories they shared.
