Anna Papp, 94, passed away at home on April 13, 2021. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Rose Papp, and her sister, Rose Orteneau, Annie lived her entire life in Tottenville. She was an independent, funny, spirited woman who said it like it is. Annie was an avid gardener, world traveler, and Broadway enthusiast who enjoyed music, especially Frank Sinatra. She was an original member of the South Shore Swimming Club.
Annie worked in Manhattan, most recently for Donovan, Leisure, Newton & Irvine in Rockefeller Center, as the file department supervisor. After her retirement, she was a reading volunteer at P.S.1. She is survived by her loving nieces, Darlene Canepa-Deno and Doreen Emanuel, dearest Great Aunt to Jarrod and Fallon Canepa, Alanna Sharp, and Justin and Kristopher Emanuel, and Beloved Great-Great Aunt to Vera Sharp. Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home Monday April 19, 2021 10AM. Funeral service at Crossroads Church 11AM, interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery. Friends and Family may visit Sunday from 2-4, 7-9.
