Ann Marie DeSantis (nee Monteleone), 85, died on Dec. 20, 2016, peacefully in her home from complications due to cancer.
Born in Brooklyn, Ann Marie lived in Dyker Heights for 80 years and moved to Staten Island about four years ago. She graduated from Fort Hamilton High School.
She was a telephone operator and retired when she was 65 year old.
She enjoyed family, entertaining, cooking, home decor, and fashion. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, Cheyenne, Taylor, David, Joseph, and Frankie.
She was predeceased in 2015 by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence DeSantis, and her daughter, Deborah DeSantis, in 2012.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Amari and Lorraine Boccia, and her five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial is on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church. Interment is in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. -
