At age 13, Angela Rose Dresch wanted to capture every moment of her life and share it with all of her friends.
She was such a communicator, said her uncle, Gerard Spero. She'd be on that computer: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
Funeral arrangements have been set for the Tottenville eight-grader, the borough's first confirmed victim of Hurricane Sandy, who was found dead early Tuesday after the storm tore apart her family's home.
A native of Tottenville, Miss Dresch was an eighth-grader at Totten Intermediate School, and was set to receive her confirmation from Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, also Tottenville.
She was also a devoted fan of the ICONic Boyz, a youth dance crew from Englishtown, N.J., that appeared on the TV show, America's Best Dance Crew. One summer, Spero said, she waited six hours at RollerJam USA in Richmond Valley to meet them.
Miss Dresch would use her phone to chronicle her life from moment to moment, Spero said. She was always smiling, always happy, he said.
Surviving are her mother, Patricia, and a sister, Jo Ann Moyer.
The funeral will be Monday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
