Alice Shammah

Alice Shammah, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 100, on April 25, 2024. She was born on April 12, 1924 in Central Falls, Rhode Island. 

Alice Shammah was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great grandmother, and beloved friend. She showed her love through her cooking. She loved having visitors, cooking for them and teaching her Syrian cooking.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Louis, and her sons George and Kenneth Shammah, who preceded her in death. Alice is survived by her daughter, Margaret McMahon with her son-in-law Gerard. 

Alice was loved by her grandchildren: Andrew and his wife Diana, Allyson, Katherine and husband Carlo. She was adored by her five great-grandchildren: Andrew, Jade, Lia, Jackson, and Madison. They have wonderful memories of her; sharing Happy Meals, rocking in her recliner while she sang to them, and her giving them candy. 

In addition to her immediate family, Alice is survived by her sibling, Louis, her many cousins, nieces and nephews that treasured her. Alice never forgot anyone’s birthday. Even at 100 years old, she still sent birthday cards to her family members. She was the sweetest soul and she will be missed everyday.
