John Joseph Giordano, 39, of Tottenville, a computer engineer who enjoyed being an uncle and playing hockey, died Saturday at home.

Born and raised in Midland Beach, he moved to Tottenville in 1995.

The New Dorp High School graduate earned a degree from DeVry University, New Brunswick, N.J.

He worked at Intel as an engineer.

Mr. Giordano enjoyed fishing, movies, welding and computers.

He enjoyed being an uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Mr. Giordano was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary's R.C. Church, Midland Beach.

Surviving are his parents, Frank and Theresa Giordano; his brother, Michael, and his sister, Lauren Giordano-Dolce.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, both in Tottenville. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
