Frank (Buddy) Kish III, 60, of Tottenville, a flight attendant and business owner whose life was centered on his family, died Sunday in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Manhattan.

Mr. Kish was born and raised in Tottenville and graduated from Tottenville High School in 1973.

After he and Marion Barberio wed in 1979, the couple lived in Eltingville, and later Annadale. They settled in Tottenville in 1993.

He worked for 18 years as a flight attendant for United Airlines and also co-owned Elegant Wine and Liquors in Tottenville with his daughter, Stefanie Kish. Earlier, he owned and operated Town & Country Deli in Tottenville for 22 years.

Mr. Kish enjoyed traveling, listening to music, especially musicals, and loved spending time with his granddaughter.

Described as generous and giving, he lived life to the fullest, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him, family said.

Mr. Kish was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Tottenville.

Surviving, along with Marion, his wife of 35 years, and his daughter, Stefanie, are his son, Frank IV, and a granddaughter.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains. The Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, is handling arrangements.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Franks wife, Marion, and their children, Stephanie and Frank. Frank was one of the kindest gentleman I've known. I was lucky enough to have met Frank when he first started his Career with Continental Airlines years ago, and we've been friends since. He loved being a flight attendant, and it showed every trip he flew. He always spoke so highly of his wife, Marion, and was eager to get home to her, after a every landing in Newark. Frank, your Wings will forever be in the skies, flying above us all. I will miss you, dearly, my friend, as will so many of your Continental/United family. May you RIP, God Speed... Xo
