At age 13, Angela Rose Dresch wanted to capture every moment of her life and share it with all of her friends.

She was such a communicator, said her uncle, Gerard Spero. She'd be on that computer: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

Funeral arrangements have been set for the Tottenville eight-grader, the borough's first confirmed victim of Hurricane Sandy, who was found dead early Tuesday after the storm tore apart her family's home.

A native of Tottenville, Miss Dresch was an eighth-grader at Totten Intermediate School, and was set to receive her confirmation from Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, also Tottenville.

She was also a devoted fan of the ICONic Boyz, a youth dance crew from Englishtown, N.J., that appeared on the TV show, America's Best Dance Crew. One summer, Spero said, she waited six hours at RollerJam USA in Richmond Valley to meet them.

Miss Dresch would use her phone to chronicle her life from moment to moment, Spero said. She was always smiling, always happy, he said.

Surviving are her mother, Patricia, and a sister, Jo Ann Moyer.

The funeral will be Monday from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville, with a mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.

Dear Dresch Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one. It seems no greater sadness is felt then when some dear to us is loss and in such an untimely way. May you find comfort in your memories and draw strength from a promise God has provided with gives the hope of someday being reunited with with all those that have been loss in death (John 5:28,29). This promised future is one of great joy because it will include perfect health and everlasting life on a paradise earth where the former things have passed away (Rev. 21:4, Psalms 37:29). So may you find some comfort during this most difficult time knowing that God does care and He does hear our cries as we can look forward to a time when He will correct all that has been wrong. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

When I heard that God called an angel to heaven and found out it was you it broke my heart. I met you many times in my good friend Dorothy's house for parties and other ocassions. You were always smiling and cheerful. I grieve for your mother and hope that you and your Father watch over her and ease her pain. God bless you both, I know you are in God's hands and he is holding you close to his heart.

May Angela and her Daddy rest in peace and share guidance and love from the heavens above with her mom and sister still here on earth. It is such a sad loss at such a young age. But I hope her family and friends know she is now an angel and will be walking beside them always. I hope the beautiful memories that Jo Ann and her mom have of Angela and George help them thru this difficult time. Please know many prayers are coming from Springfield, Illinois. Hugs to all who are suffering thru these losses.
