Inez Genevieve Fiori, 90, a homemaker, died Monday in Clove Lakes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, in Castleton Corners. She had resided there since June 2011.

Born Inez G. Murphy in Brooklyn, she graduated from Bay Ridge High School. During World War II, she worked as a civilian secretary for the U.S. Navy.

She moved to South Beach after she and Timothy Fiori were married in the early 1950s. The couple later lived in Grasmere for 25 years until retiring to an adult community in Manchester, N.J., in the mid-1980s.

Mrs. Fiori delighted in her role as housewife, mother, nana, and great-grandmother. She spent many happy family vacations with her children and grandchildren at the Jersey Shore, the Poconos and Virginia Beach. She also loved to host big family holiday dinners.

She enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Central America.

While living in the Manchester community, Mrs. Fiori was active in the bowling league, book club and theater club. She was an avid shopper, and loved finding a good sale.

Timothy, her husband of 60 years, died in 2009.

Surviving are her son, Timothy; her daughters, Ellen Roche, Susan F. Twomey and Ann Fiori-Hockenjos; 13 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Thursday from the A. Azzara Funeral Home, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, both in South Beach. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, N.J.
